'06 9-3 Arc w/ auto. came in throwing a code for 'INTERNAL FAULT/FEATURES NOT PROGRAMMED' error, and codes for faults in the EVAP valve supply, and a fault for Secondary Air Injection failure (only 2003 models even have Sec. Air Injection, so there you go).
The Check Engine Light would illuminate immediately at Key-On.
I was able to go up to the salvage yard with my Tech2 and laptop that runs my TIS software to give me the security access to divorce the ECU from the original car, a 2004 9-3 Arc with automatic.
Both cars (and ECU's) are fitted with the B207R high output 2.0L engine (green fuel injectors).
*******************************
1) Divorce ECU from donor car - need Tech2, and security access for the car, so you either need a laptop which will talk to the Tech2 with a wireless connection to TIS, or the car has to be at a shop with a hardwired TIS/SPS installation.
2) SPS programmed the donor ECU WITH IT IN THE DESTINATION CAR. The Tech2 will read the VIN number for the car you are programming TO, and I flashed the 2004 software to the 2006 configuration.
3) THEN perform the 'ADD' procedure, with the software already updated to the correct configuration.
4) Start engine, idle, then test drive, faults have not recurred, all the run parameters seem normal, boosts normal, the ECM didn't throw the code back for the internal fault problem that was bringing the light on right at key-on.
Have a good weekend!
Best,
Drew
