9-3SS 2.0L 4 cyl. oil replacement period... For the 9-3SS 2.0L 4 cylinder I replace the oil every 5,000-miles. For our convertible that is once a year. Maybe if I did a LOT of highway miles, I would go 10,000-miles between oil changes.
I use the Saab recommended Mobil 1 0W-40 oil. The newer GM Ecotec based engine does take 6 quarts for an oil change, unlike the older 2.0L in the NG900/OG9-3 which used 4 quarts.
