I have one of these shells. They are all made in the same place in China, so shop around. They generally work and are better than buying an entire new fob when your current key starts to disintegrate into a blob of black goo. However they do have some drawbacks:
1. The buttons are harder to push because they are not rubber insterts like the original, but are part of the hard plastic case. I notice that I have to really push hard on the trunk button to get it to work.
2. The emergency key is held in by friction rather than the positive click provided by the original. I've used the new case for 6 months and I've never had an instance of the key pulling out.
3. The SAAB logo (that you have to put on once you get the key) scratches easily. After 6 months my logo is half gone. I haven't investigated transfering the logo from the old key.
Since the investment is small (under $20) get one and try it. Other than the three items mentioned, the case seems to be holding up.
I also bought one the blank emergency keys ($15) and had it cut at a local locksmith ($30) because the key rubber was also disintegrating.
