Keep thinking it is my imagination but I have the same problem.
Bulbs are the German Hella brand from EEuro. I did resurface one lens to see if it made a big difference by comparison. It didn't.
I looked at the reviews for the nighthawk lamps and they say they are only rated for 140hrs, so not much good as DRL.
I guess the next step is to measure the voltage at the lamp.
I'm suspecting it is degradation inside the lamp lens/reflector itself.
Has anyone attempted cleaning the inside?
