The V-6 is more difficult to work on due to the tight squeeze in the engine compartment. A quick search in this BB will reveal that most owners find that gas mileage takes a hit compared to the I-4. Owners of the V-6 Aeros seem to love them. I wonder whether a BSR or MapTun Stage 1 on the 4 cyl engine wouldn't give similar performance as the V-6 without the weight and mileage penalties.
I'm in the camp that believes that true SAABs should have 4 or fewer cylinders. :-)
