Must have been the fuel filler neck connection Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sat, 3 Sep 2016 12:24:37 In Reply to: Re: Out in under 20 minutes, Jim Moore, Fri, 2 Sep 2016 16:05:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
As I was walking to my car after Jarris handed me my keys and apologized for making me come back, I saw the fuel filler door closed but not latched. Opening the door may have been necessary to get the filler neck connection seated, or for better visibility.
The local Saab Indy Shop, K&N Automotive, opened their doors nearly 40 years ago. K&N stands for Kirk and Nick the original mechanics. Nick's brother Don joined them for years until health problems forced him to stop. Kirk is now approaching 70 and is semi-retired. Nick is still at it full time, and Jarris joined K&N a couple years ago from Suburban Saab, Hummer, Chevrolet, & Cadillac Dealership where he was the chief Saab mechanic (per another K&N customer). I have recently noticed a very young mechanic there as well, possibly just out of Automotive Technology school. I am glad to see the extensive Saab knowledge base being passed on to younger Techs. Too many small businesses fail because they do not have a secession plan. K&N is top notch!
