X vs XWD... Posted by Scott Paterson [Email] (#13) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Scott Paterson) on Sun, 16 Oct 2016 11:13:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have to finally admit that I do not have the X/XWD naming/models straight. Can someone explain it for me. I was assuming that X meant that the car had XWD (aka AWD) technology... Okay, so there was a 9-3 Turbo X... was that XWD? Then we have a 9-3X SportWagon which has a Turbo, but is not a Turbo X, so wtf is a Turbo X? I am about to post a 9-3 that has XWD, but it just has a 9-3 emblem on the back with no X, but it looks like an XWD emblem below the 2.0T emblem and the car is definitely AWD. So if our 2010 Wagon has XWD too, but is 9-3X, what does the X denote? If you tell me that the X denotes XWD, then why does the 9-3 with XWD not have an X too?
The easy answer is probably that X must mean something else and I'm just confusing X with meaning that the car has XWD which is why they put an XWD emblem on to denote that and not confuse it with whatever X must then mean...
Thanks in advance for making this clear to me...
