Odd, we have Xenons in our '06 9-3SC Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 15 Feb 2017 08:14:23 In Reply to: Poor Xenon night driving in 150K 9.3, onmyfifthSAAB [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 15 Feb 2017 06:56:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I replaced the lamps last summer for the first time, car had around 85K miles. The lamps were still operating but had started their end-of-life color shift and were not as bright as previously. New G-E Xenon lamps were maybe $120 for the pair, I can't remember for sure as I had purchased them ~3 years earlier. I did search for the lowest price for these lamps since I was buying for 'parts cabinet stock' rather than immediate install.
A bit of a bugger to replace the H7 Halogens used as the High Beams on this car. I replaced 100% of the front lamps since I had to drop the car's front fascia to access the headlamp buckets and other lights.
No fogging of the headlamp assemblies on our car. I wonder if the seal between the lens and the housing has failed on your headlamps?
