Howdy all.....well the plot thickens on my nice 2010 Sport Combi.
Had the driver's side airbag module replaced yesterday (gratis, factory recall).
No CEL for the past 3 weeks or so and the performance/economy seem fine.
I had the rip off dealership (actually a BMW outfit now handling the Saab authorized repairs) perform a scan. Originally want to charge me one hour labor to do so but then agreed to charge 1/2, essentially 65 clams, which seemed fair.
Following codes came up..allegedly (I have no print out from the tool): P1681 00 and P2135 00.
i asked for codes to be cleared and dealership complied (thought perhaps that would be standard protocol without even asking....).
Dealership "recommends" new throttle body (and soldering of connections) $865.00 and ECM, $942.00.
What perplexes me is that she runs fine at the moment, throttle response excellent, no CEL.
I am being lead down the merry path here or should I just leave well enough alone. Perhaps next winter, in the cold, she'll act up again.
Many thanks for insights. Very much appreciated.
On the last ECM ordered through Indy wrench (seems like very capable guy) I waited 9 weeks to be told that it was somehow lost in transit, so at 93K miles I am running original ECM and a new throttle body at 55K mile.
Best, David
