When SCL is in locked position Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Sun, 23 Apr 2017 08:58:59 In Reply to: Re: easy to replace, but needs programming, David Fernandez, Sat, 22 Apr 2017 10:15:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The easiest I have found is to jam a screw driver between housing and SCL at the lock down bolt to give you just enough space to get a saw blade up and slowly cut off the bolt as close to the SCL housing as possible.
Since I have compressed air and a air saw, it does not take that much time after you have wrangled your body and tool into position.
There is just about no other ways to get it out without doing lots of damage.
But here is a quick tip that might save the day.
Position yourself with a small hammer or something you can easily hit the SCL with and keep tapping on it while inserting and removing the key.
If you are lucky, you might get one more click out of it and it unlocks properly and you can screw the bolt in and removed.
