As for the engine oil, I believe that it came from the factory with Mobil 0W-40. That is what most owners I know recommend and use. I have used Shell Rotella T-6 5W-40 in an older 9-3 and it was fine. Shell now has a Rotella T-6 in 0W-40. I might give that a try as it is usually less expensive than the Mobil 1. I have a 2007 9-3 2.0T. Both of our cars are our of factory warranty, so I think if you choose any good quality synthetic oil of the proper weight you should be fine. As for the convertible hydraulic oil, I can't help you there.
