I'll go ahead and check the hoses and plugs as recommended. I just replaced the plugs but didn't really pay attention to them. Since the site listed them I bought them. Didn't think to make sure. They are Bosch FR6KPP33X.
Since having this problem I took the car to get the airbag replacement (finally). Afterwards, check engine came on with: P0337 - Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input, P0725 - Engine Speed Input Circuit, P0700 - Transmission Control System (Mil Request). I wouldn't think that they could do something to cause the codes changing the airbag. I do notice that I have an oil leak somewhere at the back of the engine, seems to be spraying in the engine compartment. So maybe some electronics got fried? Have the car parked until I can get some time to look at it.
