I'm a little long winded but hang in there, I really need some advice.
I picked up an 07 9-3 combi a couple weeks ago that was ridiculously cheap since there was no key. I found a guy on the net that programs keys to the CIM. I took a picture of it before removal, pulled the CIM, taped it so it would not move, and sent it off. When it came back about a week later I checked the CIM against the picture and it looked the same. I put the CIM in, hooked the battery back up and tried to start the car. After about 5 minutes of trying it started up and was running great :) I let it run for awhile, shut it down and disconnected the battery again. after about 20 minutes I put the airbag in..... When I hooked the battery back up the car starts right up but I get an airbag malfunction. So...I need to get it hooked up to a tech2. So, best guess, did I just trip the light and the tech 2 will be able to reset it or it it likely the clockspring is messed up? The horn, wipers, and turn signals all work fine. Maybe the light will reset it self after awhile?
