Front Wheel Bearing Noise, wrong side?

2010 9-3 with 72K mi. It's been developing a very typical wheel bearing noise and I know this is not an uncommon problem with these cars.
It had a very pronounced turn the the left the noise got louder, turn right it almost went completely away behavior. I was highly confident based on all the commentary it was the right side bearing.
Bought a new SKF bearing and installed it yesterday. Not too bad a job actually. I was expecting more corrosion for a NY car, but it was actually quite clean and came apart fairly easily. FYI there is a very good DIY bearing writeup on saabcentral.
But... after putting everything back together, I still have the same noise!!! No change. I did read several accounts of folks having misleading left/right turning noise so I guess it seems to not be totally unheard of. I am not going to pull the bearing I installed on the right hand side. Probably just get another new one and install it on the left.
Anybody else run into something like this or have any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Dave
