Nokian Z-Line - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I have the summer tire version on my (gasp) Ford CMax, but it also comes in an all-season variety. Very reasonably priced at www.simpletire.com if you get it at the right time. Autumn and early winter seems best for summer tires from them, now seems good for the all season.
The Nokians have tread depth indicators molded into the tread (in millimeter). On the summer tires, the first 2 mm evaporate as soon as you drive around the block, it seems, then they revert to a more normal wear pattern. I am approaching 20 K on my set of six (long story), and they are all running around 6 mm depth. Great traction wet or dry, very smooth ride, and quiet. The A/S variety should have longer wear, maybe a little less dry and wet traction.
