I don't think that the subframe separation is difficult, what is difficult is finding the support frame or something like it to support the subframe while the bushings are being pressed out and new units pressed in. The subframe doesn't have a flat central location for a floor jack and the subframe would be difficult to press back up being as the subframe wouldn't sit level on the jack making it difficult to install the fasteners into the chassis.
