Hard to say if that leak is big enough to fool the O2 sensor so that it think the pump is not delivering enough air.
There are many times smog monitors run and get set to ready even if it is a looming problem that later on sets a Check Engine light.
It only takes one cold start with the SAI system working correctly and the smog monitor sets.
Since you have the OBD 2 reader you can probably reset codes and then watch every cold start and see if SAI monitor sets just a few minutes after cold start.
