which 9-3s to avoid - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
This is my first time posting on this board since I have a 91 MCY Convt turbo that I have had forever (360k miles). Went 340k miles with original head, and bottom end still ok. Original clutch, turbo and transmission. So it freaks me out a bit to read about two-piece flywheels and the like on the newer 9-3s that are very expensive to repair. My mechanic said to avoid the v-6 and anything 05-07 I think it was. What are your experiences? The older 900s were finicky but generally not too expensive. I have been thinking about maybe getting a 2008 or 09 9-3, 2.0t, but am concerned a bit. Thanks!
