Maybe even tomorrow to be dropped off.
The drive mechanisms for each side are not in synch. Another fellow stated he had same issue on his '10 9-3 which was solved by liberal application of grease to eliminate the binding. Sounded too easy but what the heck.
Tried it. No difference. I am hoping the Techs know of a way to synch the drive racks for the two sides of the glass panel without needing to remove the entire moon-roof rack.
I re-read the other fellow's comments and it could be interpreted that he first removed the glass panel, lubed up everything, actuated the sunroof drive mechanism which miraculously re-clocked the drive, then replaced the glass panel.
I tried this route yesterday but the forward anchor nut on the passenger side of the glass (the side that isn't raising fully for vent mode) was still nearly inaccessible. I suppose I could have removed it, somehow, and would have tried harder if the factory instructions said this procedure was the cure. In view of the possibility that this attempt might result in positioning of the arms in such a manner that the glass panel could never be replaced, I opted to button things back up.
The Write-up Lady at K&N said they have had a few cars with sunroof issues and none have required an extraordinary amount of time to resolve. I trust her memory even though she is not a certified Tech since she gets to handle all the upset customers. Plus everyone there knows me by name - even with my infrequent use of their capabilities.
