This topic is one of the most durable on the Saab website. Several companies offer hp upgrades for the the 2.3 Saab. (Abbott, Hirsch, Nordic, BSR and perhaps others). Saab wants you to know that if you want the extra horsepower, you have to give them the money and buy the Aero. Any and all packages from the above listed (very capable and established companies will void your power train warrantee. From Saab's point of view this is commercially necessary since their cost to you is about $2500 instead of $7,500 which is the cost differential from the 2.3 LPT to the Aero.
