Steve: I have the 5160 in my 9-5, and it works quite well through the cars audio system speakers. You will need the saab wire harness adapter, which is about a $12.00 part, and the car kit for the Nokia. THat is the expensive part, and unfortunately, the only thing you will be using in it is the phone cradle, because you do not need the speaker or microphone that comes with the kit. Saab also makes an adapter that physically fits on the right side of the center console, and attaches without screws or holes, that provides a flat surface for the phone cradle to be mounted on. When attaching the Nokia cradle to the saab mount, use the swivel /flex adapter that comes with the Nokia kit, so that you can adjust the angle of the phone in relation to your driving position. If you mount the Nokia cradle flush with the Saab mount, the phone takes up slightly less space, but it is hard to see the display screen on the phone.
Lastly, I have a 99, and do not have On Star, but in the On Star equipped cars, there was initially a conflict between the use of the built in microphone in the headliner for use by On Star vs.the phone. This has now Been solved by Saab, so you might need to see a dealer for the fix on this. The antenna for On Star can not be used for cellular communications, so my advice is to use an inside patch antenna, that attaches to the windshield next to your rear view mirror, and it works fine. No need to use an outside antenna. Hope this helps Lou
