The hitch install is involved if you do it the way Saab designed it. Here is an overview.
Take off the bumper cover
Drill a new hole on each side below the rear light to attach the bumper rail to the body.
Attach the bumper rail to the body with the included bolts and spacers.
Install the hitch to the body and bumper rail (where you got it from).
Install electrical adapter.
Replace bumper cover.
It takes a couple of hours. The tough part is adding the extra reinforcements to the body. It sounds like you did not harvest the extra reinforcers from the donor car.
