I had my ACC panel go dark on me. When the tempatures are a high of 7-9F this is not a time to have things stop working. The heated seats work wonders.
I took it into the dealership and talked to the technician and mentioned that the panel went black with no response from the controls and no fan then decided to work on my way back home so I knew it was not serious. I mentioned that I had a styrofoam cup of coffee spill during the summer and the heated seat switch was making a electrical shorting sound. The technician said that everything was on a buss and it could be wiping out the whole system. The technician replaced the ACC and the switch and whispers it was what we had talked about(coffee spill). ;)
The coffee spilled was not very much and am sending this to those that like to have a beverage in the holder to help keep them awake on the long haul use a Saab beverage holder or sealed container. I hope my incident was isolated because the likely hood of seeing more scenarios like mine are great.
Happy holidays,
Norm
