Ok so my buddy bought my 01 aero auto it has aprox 84k miles on it and he's had it for about three months no problems and I had no issues like this for the 3 plus years I owned it. Last night after having driven it all day he went to his g/f's place and backed into a spot but when putting it into reverse it did not engage, so he parked in normal then when getting back in the car it was fine when backing up. Then again this morning going to work he said it was fine but when backing into his parking spot at work no reverse. Then he checked it at lunch still no reverse but when he left work at 7 he had reverse but it made some grinding sound and when he said you'd put it into drive, in first gear you get a grinding like brake sound from the transmisson but once into second its fine, however when you get to a stop sign back into first the same grind sound, in neutral no grind sound in park it makes it a tad quieter. reverse seems to work also now....
