I have had StonGard installed on my Audi A4 for 10 months and it works great. The full kit does a great job of protecting all the forward facing parts of the car, including bumper, mirrors and lights. I am definitely going to have the dealer take my new Aero Wagon to StonGard before delivery, when I finally get around to buying it.
Do a search at the AudiWorld.com A4 Forum for many posts on the subject. Most seem to like it a lot. Some are turned off by the cost, but over the space of a few years it will pay for itself.
It can be removed with a heat gun without damaging the paint. This is one project that you do not want to attempt by yourself - have it professionally installed. Then you get a lifetime warranty against defects - if a piece comes loose they will fix it free. Not so if you do the job yourself.
You can see the edges of the film from 4 or 5 feet away, especially against darker paint, and it tends to build up wax there. From farther away it is invisible. On an older car, it certainly will look better than a bunch of dings and pits. The lights stay virgin and do not suffer that slow degredation from gritty road spray and pebbles that unprotected lights do.
I strongly recommend the stuff.
The link wasn't working when I tested it - I am not sure what is going on....
