I would be interested in a comparison. Autotap monitors a whole host of functions from timing, knock retardation, road speed, RPMs, engine and trans. temps, gear selection, air/fuel ratio, O2 front and rear, estimate horsepower and torque, torque converter slipage(the newer GM cars never lock-up), engine misfires current and history, misfire monitoring each bank(V6) or individual cylinders, and it will allow you to record data and export it to spread sheet which is nice if you want to record an accleration run.
For DTC's it will give a definition of the code. This is helpful when diagnoseing a friend's misfire. We were going to pull wires and spark plugs but logged on and it told us what cylinder was misfiring. Took a look at the wire and sure enough the wire was arching.
