2000 9-5 V-6/Auto: I finally have to concede defeat. Limp Home Mode: The junk yard tranny IS junk. I have tried SeaFoam. no luck. But just for my edification. The tranny will not work in reverse; UNITL I place the car in a forward gear and move slightly forward. Then the reverse is just fine. I had a 1984 9000 that allowed ONE tiny adjustment to the reverse gear. The unit worked just fine for 18 months. I hate to junk a perfectly good 9-5. Any leads on another (Cheap but useful) auto. I had my suspects on the last donor car. I could not read the odometer at the junk yard but the body was pristine. I suspect that was the tip off that the drive train was kaput. Thanks to all for enduring with me over the past 23 months. I have resigned to drive the "junk" tranny until it dies a slow death. Best regards PFB.
