My '01 LPT with 122,000 miles is slowly loosing ATF for the first time. I had to add 1.5 qts yesterday. The fluid was changed about 25,000 miles ago. Only other transmission symptom was a lagging engagement and slow acceleration only in 1st gear and only when the engine was cold in the AM. That symptom seems to have disappeared now that the fluid is up to the proper fill level. There are no apparent leaks that I can find at dipstick entry into the transmission nor the drain bolt and washer. Where else could it be leaking/going? I'm at a loss. Posts in this Thread:
