Search for links to simple cylinder removal procedure. Afterward, I flushed out crud and grit with repeated applications of WD-40, but switched over to my favorite Tri-Flow teflon lubricant when flushed clean. You can just keep working the key and release until the action is smooth again and pops up like new to release the key. Can take up to an hour to do it all right and then not worry for years after.
