I have a good stage 1+ tune for GT17 turbo on B205E. The car still slow the first time of ecu swapping.
Only figured out that the stock wastegate was too weak (basic boost measured 0.25 bar)
After fixing the boost problem set basic boost to 0.4+ bar, and get the basic required for ST1 (Hiflow airfilter, bigger intake pipe),the car almost flies. From my G-Tech it could do 0-60mph within 7.4 sec (it would do 8.5 sec on stock setup), and yes it's 2.0 litre, 5SP a/t, with Wagon platform.
Anyway, from your question, if I have TD04 on my hand, I would not hesitate to do so.
