I just purchased a service manual on CD and was looking to see if there were any SID functions or tricks.
"The driver acknowledges a message by press any key except for NIGHT PANEL. If the message is preceeded by a "+" sign, more than one message has been activated. If more than one message is activated, the next message is acknowledged in the same way. When a message has been acknowledged, it will not be shown again. If the messages are not acknowledged, they are deleted automatically at the rate of one message per minute."
You probably already know to hit any key on the SID to clear the code while the car is running but it will return once the engine has been cycled again(I think after 80 warm up cycles and the problem does not occur it clears itself). What I don't know if you do not touch the SID after one minute of run time and it clears the message that it will not appear after the engine is cycled.
Let us know how you do.
