have another post just a bit down where I describe how a 99 lpt wagon got water in under the drivers seat. Will be posting pics, etc there, but I thought I would start a new thread on troubleshooting a P1460.

Cleaned up the car and the TWICE module. I am a computer engineer, so understand PCBS, etc. Nothing noticeable (I know, could be fried inside, etc). Cleaned up the connections and then tried to start the car.

To my amazement the car turned over fired and ran, for about 1 sec and then throws the P1460 and stops. I can erase the P1460, but it comes back. If I disconnect the battery for a bit, reconnect I can then start and run the car for about a sec and a P1460 throws again and stops. The car will crank but not run. Assuming fuel pump / ignition is turned off by the computer.

So I guess I have a couple of questions.

1) Does this code need to be cleared "for good" by a Tech II?
2) It seems that everything is working fine (locks, etc) except for the 1 sec running time.
3) I have heard of an override for the P1460, does this really work?

I had figured I would have to get a new TWICE module and have it mated, but since the car actually turns over runs for a bit (sees key, passes other tests, etc) maybe it is salvageable?

I guess another question is once the car is running, what can cause it to throw a P1460 (besides something wrong with the TWICE). Anything?

Thanks in advance
