Hi guys,
The car is '05 S/W B205E A/T. 180k mi.
I bought this car from the first owner at 150k mi,
which known to use semi-synthetic oil for years.
Since I owned the car, I also always use 0W-40 Semi-synthetics oil.
Right now at 180k mi., the car wont consume any oil between oil change interval.
I saw a little oil leakage around the engine seal from below engine, but very minimal compared to any other 9-5 I've seen at this ages.
Question : Should I switch from semi to synthetic oil?
Any advantage to switch to fully-syn at this age of engine?
Also juz wonder if the switching would cause any further oil leak?
The car still got the original GT17 turbo, would this good on semi or full syn ?
Any comment is very welcome!
TIA guys,
ColinE
