Mr Ed. I ordered my 2001 Estate from Saab City, Picadilly, (Hiam K.) delivered in USA and as I understand all 9-5 seats are same regardless of market area. Now have 6700 miles and have found the ventilated seats very poor in comfort. You don't have distances in the UK where this will be a problem. I drive on 500+ mile legs, fill up, and go again for many hours so I may be in the seat 12 -15 hours at a time. Doubt that driving from Plymouth to Fort William will take that much time, so you should be ok.
I am 6'3", 205 pounds wife is 5'6" 120 pounds and we both find the seats poor (as compared with our 97 Aero) so maybe we are just spoiled because of the knowledge that Saab CAN do better! Don't get me wrong, The 9-5 Saab seat is probably much better than most anything else in the class and I would buy it again in a heart beat but sure would like other seats. Saab is working with me on my complaint and have rumored that the factory is considering some sort of improvement in 2002. ( apparently lots of complaints) You may look into this. If they are coming with new Aero seats, I will be first in line. You will LOVE the Aero, especially the Automatic!
