Back in '90S when 15" rim was considered a sport wheel.
The car come with 195/55/R15 tires. The 2-series sport suspension is horrid.
So I tried to go for a smoother ride by switching to 195/60/R15.
That was a wrong decision. The car was a bit smoother, not very noticeable, but the handling & road holding got way worse.

If I were you I would change to 16 rims. Saab offers forge 16" rims which even better in terms of handling due to lower unsprung weight. Search for ALU51 wheels.
