THANKS everyone I got rid of P0134 finally. Thanks Swedecar for the J16 tip which had plenty of posts and information.
It is ironic that the crimp/splice looks very professional and yet after a few years it does have the potential for galvanic reaction interally and to interfere with the work of the O2 sensor. Of course these signals are less than 1 volt so a bad connection can wreak havoc.
