Excellent write up and pictures Dano!
I did the procedure two weekends ago but I was not as ambitions as to document as you've done, so thank you for that!!
I worked really hard to get the (amazingly thick and hard) cover off the crimp connections and just cut out the the crimp and re-solder the wires back together and heat shrink.
If I were to do it again, I think I'd do the same as what it looks like you did, and just remove the entire hard plastic coated piece over the crimp, solder in a new piece of wire, and heat shrink it.
It's been two weeks so far without an ((ABS)) light and the temps are climbing this week. I was beginning to see the ((ABS)) light on start about once a week now, so (fingers crosses) it looks good so far!
In addition to Bernie's great info, I also found Dean's detail for the wires colors and how to remove the rear seat very helpful (re-posted below)
From Dean:
RR(s)--BN--J108--BN/WH 270mm Rev.3=380
..(s)--BK--J109--BK/WH 295mm Rev.3=400
RL(s)--BN--J110--BN 245mm Rev.3=450
..(s)--BK--J111--BK 370mm Rev.3=480
Seats are easy to remove, disconnect read seat heater wires if
equipped, pull red plastic retainer clip, shift seat sideways and
lift out.
