Unfortunately I dont think the trend of Saabers moving to alternate vehicles will slow down. All of our machines are aging.
I love my 9-5 and can not find a replacement that equals it.
I try to keep it on the road, but at 235000 miles its going to need some expensive wear item repairs.
Living in the hash climate of the north, rust is setting in.
Makes it difficult to want to spend a few thousand dollars to replace items on a machine that is physically disintegrating around me.
If the body was solid and shinny, id consider pushing it to 300k miles.
I believe this is the last winter for this car under my ownership.
Trying to find a 2005 aero, 5sp but its a challenge. Most are high mileage and will also require $$$ to keep going strong.
Ive not yet given into a nice used European sedan but soon I will have no alternative.
I sympathize with all of you, most of us will eventually have to move on to a different machine.
I like seeing other 9-5s on the road and usually give a smile and a head knob when passing another...
