I would not be too concerned, but at the same time, I think your motors are telling you that you need to make a change. This is not likely something freaky or unusual, but rather just a reminder that no engine runs well for a long, long time and without wear to the metal-to-metal surfaces, no matter what the oil, no matter what the filter. I agree that the coincidence of both engines displaying the same warning signs at the same time is disturbing and thought provoking, but at the same time, some coincidences are just that...coincidences! And actually, both engines are very similar in their mileage and - I would expect - the way they were driven, so how much of a coincidence can it be? What I would do in your place is is switch to Mobil 1 High Mileage 10W-40. The main difference in the Migh Mileage uses a higher viscosity base oil and an additive pack that contains higher levels of detergents, both of which are good things in your case. I think your problem will go away. That's a lot of miles, and congratulations - your engines are not finished, but they need some thicker "blood".

Concerning the Mobil 1 - I have Blackstone Labs do an analysis of my oil at every oil change so I can keep track of how my engines are wearing, and I had it done just two weeks ago on my last change of Mobil 1. The cSt Viscosity @ 100C (212F) came out at 13.03 (spec is 11.6-14.8) so that is right on and very consistent with Mobil 1 0W-40 over the last several years I've been doing this. If you'd like your oil analyzed, check them out on the web. They'll give you a complete, detailed look at your oil and - more important in your case - they will give you measurements of all the metals suspended in your oil (aluminum, chromium, iron, copper, etc.) which is the definitive way to find out how your motor is wearing. All for $25!

Concerning the Fram filter, I do not know of any scenario where a particular oil filter could induce LOW oil pressure (unless it had a hole in it!). That's just magical thinking.
