Sitting at a traffic light, driver fell asleep and slammed into me and 3 other cars. No one was hurt thankfully!





The insurance company totaled my car ... and offered me $2900 for an aero in really pristine condition. Granted its 15 yrs old and has 170k miles on it. They will let me buy the car back for ~$300.

$2900 does not seem fair to me ... but maybe it is?

I gave them real world "comps" from Saabnet (ranging from 4000 to 6000), and explained that Im a saab enthusiast and this car was in excellent condition. They did not budge off of their offer and claimed that they could not use the comps I sent them because the cars were "more than 250 miles away". BTW the comps they used were for base model 95.

Should I take the offer? What else can I do?
