Hard starts in cool weather-Check your battery Posted by adl6009 [Email] (#2526) [Profile/Gallery] (more from adl6009) on Tue, 27 Oct 2015 06:12:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It was driving me crazy. (I even thought I had it fixed a couple of times.) There was plenty of cranking power, the engine just would not start. I would crank the starter 3 or 4 times, sometimes more, for a prolonged crank each time and then it would finally start. The battery never went dead, it always cranked the starter, just wouldn't start. Always had trouble first start of the day, after that it would start all day long. I had 2.5 years on the battery, with 6 months left on the warranty I figured why not, took it out and had autozone check it. I walked out with a brand new platinum battery at no added cost. It's been seven days, and the weather hasn't been that cold, but it starts first time every time.
