If you can afford the 95, and have a lifestyle befitting someone who can purchase a luxury car, you may end up kicking yourself if you go for a cheaper car (Passat, Maxima, whatever). While the Passat is a great car, and it's underpinnings are right from the A4/A6, it is definitely in the "family car" class, not the "near-luxury" class. Maybe that doesn't matter to you, and if so, great. But the 95 definitely fits in better in an upscale neighborhood, at the country club, or as an executive/sales car taking clients around. The Passat to most folks is just another nondescript family hauler.
