Good points but she has been making this same trip (Atlanta to/from oxford,ms) several times a year for last two years. She departed with a complimentary tank of 80% premium fuel though in the past I'll read mpg meter after she drives home on regular gas. Don't doubt she does a lot of 75-80. This car really rolls smooth - Wife has nicknamed it Jetson for it's comfortable sportiness - for some reason this car seems quicker and more eager than my other '02 2.3t). Daughter says she never uses sport mode. I did put new tires (16"Eagle Sport A/S) on the front between my driving the car and daughter leaving: replaced worn, 5 yr old Michelin mxv4s but never expected this to cause such big of a mpg drop. Forgot to mention there has been no CEL displayed. My daily 2.3t driver (with 17" saab bbs wheels) averages 26 mpg on midgrade fuel with 50% hwy driving.
