Thanks guys..

This along with the no dipstick in the Auto Tranny, Saab (GM) really did not do us any favors.

Outside of that (so far), the 2008 9-5 is a fun car to drive and plan on keeping it for a long time..

I bought it with 173,000 miles in very good condition, both the exterior and interior are near perfect condition. It is fully loaded with visibility package, Sports package, navigation, ventilated seats, powered folding external mirrors etc.

We also have a 9-5 Gary Fisher with 156k Miles, a 1997 9000 aero with 196,000 miles. Retired a 9000CD with 200K miles and a 1994 9000aero with 315K miles (original clutch).

These cars will last for many miles if maintained properly, so I was not too afraid to get the 2008 with the high miles since it appears it was well maintained..

Maybe with 173,000 miles the fuel pump was already replaced once, I am hoping...

On the '97 Aero, a few months back I went to fill up at a gas station and the car would not start after the fill-up. I was close to home, got a ride back, removed the fuel pump from the '94, went back to the gas station and replaced it on the spot in about 40 minutes and was back on the road. If the fuel pump in the 2008 9-5 craps out that ain't going happen...Tow truck, Empty the gas tank, drop it etc major job for what was a simple fix. bummer....
