Anyone do Group Relamping for HID headlights?? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 28 Dec 2016 15:27:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I received the 'Headlight Out' message this afternoon after driving home from work, then later restarting the car for an errand. I have two H7 lamps on hand, it is cold and dark right now but I am willing to drive to work tomorrow morning with one headlight and two fog lights so that I can do the replacement during day light hours on Friday, which is a Holiday.
This time it is the Driver's side. Ugh. On my 2008 this means removing the battery cover, removing a fuse block, removing the battery, removing a metal battery shroud with cooling pipe, removing the battery tray, to finally gain access to the rubber dust cover on the back side of the headlight. Whew!
Since it is such a pain in the butt to access these lights, and once the tools are out the passenger side is not too much additional work, does anyone here advocate replacing both headlights at the same time?
Thanks,
