Do you have a garage or do you live in a climate warmer than mine (Minneosta)?
If yes, then try wiping the area of the banjo bolt down really well w a little solvent on a rag and then dry with a paper towel. Then watch the area as the car runs. If slightly tightening the banjo bolt changed nothing, then it could be the sealing washers at the bolt. I cont't remember for sure, but I think that those are the black rubber inside of the metal ring type, and they can go bad.
If it is not that, then suspect a crack in the radiator connection or a separating seal of between the hard line and the flexible hose - or something similar. You're right not to want to put in a new radiator and find that it fixes nothing.
Sometimes watching things happen is the only way to know why it's failing.
Good luck and share what you find.
