Like MI-Roger, I recall seeing this done (one in PVC, I think ?).
I have used McKay hoses sets on four 9-5's. In addition to the problematic bypass valve, another reason to replace the whole works is that these cars are aging, and the rubber may go bad - so replacing the hoses with a McKay set was cheap and meant reliable, new rubber for the next decade. Elsewhere I just saw a post from an Arc (V6) owner who replaced the BPV and it seems the leak was at a tee in the hose set.
If I were doing this now with McKay hoses seemingly not available, I would probably try to fit off-the-shelf hoses (one hose needs a slightly enlarged end), and cut them to length to fit. The hoses don't need to curve too much, so the bending stress on straight hoses will be fairly low.
Just my thoughts . . .
