. . . and like Roger says, they are aggressive, self-tapping screws with a "trilobe" cross section so they are supposed to self-lock. I reused old ones on a brand-new Lemforder mount on an '05, and I stripped a hole in the mount, probably because the old threads were not sharp enough. I ended up re-tapping for the next size SAE bolt. The bolts from underneath are probably more elegant, but what I did worked without removing the strut. Some brands of mounts now come with holes tapped and with normal bolts.
