My '99 SE's front suspension quieted down w.r.t. going over bumps at low speed after I replaced and lubed the front ARB bushings. Earlier, I had a shop replace the rear four subframe bushings. (Thanks, SWEDECAR!) The last thing I did was to replace my control arm bushings, tie rod ends, swaybar links, and refurbish my front struts (having replaced the shocks several years ago).
It would be perfect, except for an annoying single loud "pop" every time I back up to the right. I figure it's a torsional snap of the left spring against the bottom perch as it rotates back after being twisted. I researched that a little bit -- perhaps I could fix it once at for all by installing a hard plastic disk over the perch. But I'll live with it for now.
