I had a similar issue with my Viggen last year. Turns out that I hadn't properly latched the electrical connector to the end of the DIC. The car ran well for weeks then started to act up one day immediately after I stomped the car hard to enter unrelenting traffic.
The extra engine movement from the hard application of throttle resulted in the connector making intermittent contact. At least that is my theory.
Connected the electrical contacts properly and problem fixed. I was, and still am, dumbfounded that the car ran well for so long with this issue.
